About
me...![]() My own experience of life and an enduring and passionate interest in how to support and achieve quality of life for myself and others has led me to work in counselling and psychotherapy. I also work as a freelance trainer. I have a particular interest in working with parents who have experienced the loss of a child and this is a strong focus in my professional work. I lived in Maidenhead until the early nineties when I moved to Devon with my three young children. I completed a maths and education degree at Exeter University and went on to work in Devon comprehensive schools for over ten years. I specialised in emotional and behavioural aspects of learning and took a second degree in psychology as well as studying towards a masters degree in education. I gained my diploma in counselling in 2001 and I am a member of the BACP. I am currently a UKCP trainee therapist in the final stages of training in Core Process Psychotherapy at the Karuna Institute, Devon. I am listed with the BACP and the Counselling Directory. |
